Little Mix star Jesy Nelson has opened up on recent paparazzi photos that showed her crying in a taxi.

The group recently held an album launch party in London for their third album 'Get Weird'.

However, Nelson was pictured in tears in a taxi leaving the event.

Speaking to The Sun, the singer said that the emotions were the result of alcohol.

She said: "Everyone gets drunk and gets emotional."

Bandmate Perrie Edwards added: "It's relatable. Everyone cries when they get drunk. We all need a cuddle.

"I love when we stick our heads together as a four...We were in the middle of a nightclub and having a moment."

It is rumoured that Nelson's tears could have been the result of a fall-out with fiance Jake Roche.

However, he posted on Instagram the morning hungover to confirm that he was with Nelson.
