Little Mix's Jade: 'I can tweet about my political opinions if I want to'

Jade Thirlwall, of Little Mix fame, has revealed that she wanted to tweet her opinion about the vote to launch air strikes on Syria and doesn't care that people hit out at her for getting a little political on her band's Twitter page.

During a brief interview with Yahoo! Celebrity, the beauty admitted that just because she's a pop star it doesn't mean that she has no idea about current affairs: “It might have been because I’m a woman or because I’m famous, but just because I’m a singer it doesn’t mean I can’t know what’s going on in the world. I’m glad that I tweeted about it.“

Songstress Perrie Edwards added: "I don’t think there should be a reason why you shouldn’t say it, everyone’s entitled to their opinion."

During a red carpet interview with Cosmopolitan at the Ultimate Women of the Year Awardsmember Perrie Edwards was asked to describe the ultimate woman and she gave a solid answer. The blonde bombshell said: "Independent, confident, and comfortable in her own skin."
