Little Mix have admitted they 'hated' their name at first

Girl group Little Mix have revealed that they absolutely hated their band name when it was first given to them and they feared that it would prevent them from enjoying any kind of success.

"We were originally called Rhythmix, but we had to change our name so we changed to Little Mix. We hated it at first. We were like, 'it's game over. Our career's over. Little Mix is the worst name ever.' But, now we absolutely and wouldn't ever change it."

"I firstly loved dancing more than singing. I did a lot of tap and ballet, and all of that. Then I started singing. As I got older - in my teenage years - I thought 'oh, okay, maybe I want to be a singer.'"

"Every musical I would be in, every charity event, every old people's home... if there was a place to sing, then I'd go to it and do it!"

Little Mix, meanwhile, are gearing up to head out across the UK on their Get Weird tour. The first concert will take place on March 13 in Cardiff, Wales. Pressparty recently spoke to their support act, JAGMAC, who told us they are very excited to hit the road with the girls. Read the interview here
