Singer Jesy Nelson, of Little Mix fame, has revealed that during her time on 'The X Factor' and in the months that followed her group's initial success she was plagued by awful online comments that picked on her appearance.

Nelson explained that she was targeted for her weight and struggle to cope with the cruel and "disgusting" things she read on the Internet. 

"It used to make me cry," Jesy told the new issue of Cosmopolitan magazine. "I was shocked at the time. I was a young girl and I thought, 'What have I done to you? Why do you have to be mean to me?' I'm not a nasty person and I took it to heart. Some of the things people said were disgusting. It really affected me."

Little Mix, meanwhile, are currently on the UK leg of their Get Weird tour and are still set to visit London, Leeds, Sheffield, Birmingham, Nottingham and Newcastle on the extensive run of dates.
