Little Mix on success of female pop stars: 'Girl power! It's amazing'

UK based girl group Little Mix have opened up about the rising success of females in the pop music industry and admitted that now is a great time to be involved in it.

The 'Move' beauties are set to support American superstar Demi Lovato on her Neon Lights tour in the new year and told Digital Spy that she's a fantastic role model, and that they're also excited about the progress Cher Lloyd is making in the USA at the moment:

"Girl power! It's going to be amazing. We've bumped into Cher a couple of times when we've been playing the same gigs, but we've not had a proper chance to meet her yet."

Jade Thirlwall added: "She's doing so, so well in America though. She's killing it. We've met Demi as well and she's lovely. She's so wise - one of those people that seems older than she is. When you talk to her you forget that she's still young."

Lovato's tour is due to kick off on February 9 in Vancouver and her other support artists will be Fifth Harmony and Cher Lloyd.
