Lorde on 'Royals' success: 'It'll be interesting to see how it impacts me creatively'

'Team' beauty Lorde has revealed that writing a song as popular as 'Royals' will probably have a big influence on her creativity because it has changed her life.

During her Rolling Stone interview, Lorde admitted that singing about extravagances has in turn afforded them to her in reality, which is very strange:

"It's a really weird thing to write a song like "Royals," or a record like the record I wrote, and then go through something like this, which changes your entire world and way of living and changes what you do every day. And then you find yourself writing and being in a completely new stratosphere in terms of what you're talking about and how you approach certain subjects."

She added that she will be 'interested' to see how the success of 'Royals' impacts her where writing new material is concerned: "So it has been weird. Do I really want to write a record which is like, "I'm in my Jacuzzi and I have so much money, and I'm sad?" It'll be interesting to see how something like this manifests itself creatively for me."

Lorde also recently confessed to getting nervous before making appearances and explained that it's something she just can't shake: "I get paralyzingly nervous a lot of times. The way I dress and carry myself, a lot of people find it intimidating."
