Lorde sings South Park parody song

Lorde has revealed that she sung a South Park song that parodied her.

A recent episode of the animation series saw Kyle Marsh's dad Stan dress up as the New Zealand singer in order to gain access to the women's bathroom at work.

A reporter for Spin - who criticised a previous Lorde cameo in South Park - later turned up to try to expose the 'Royals' star as a 45-year old geologist.

The singer herself tweeted her appreciation of the show and 'Royals' star has now told New Zealand's TV3 that she ended up singing along to a parody song from the episode.

Lorde said: "I was thinking, 'Yeah he has a moustache...I mean I have a moustache, but is it that prominent?' But it was someone's dad pretending to be me.

"We actually, in my hotel room, went, 'Ya ya ya ya I am Lorde! Ya ya ya!' for like an hour, because that's what they do on the episode."

The 17-year-old meanwhile has been named in Time magazine's list of the world's most influential teenagers.
