Lorde dominates New Zealand Music Awards

Lorde won six gongs at this year's New Zealand Music Awards.

The event was held at Auckland's Vector Arena on Thursday (November 20) and the 'Royals' star dominated proceedings.

The 18-year-old won Album of the Year and Best Pop Album for her 2013 debut record 'Pure Heroine'.

She also bagged the Best Female Solo Artist prize and the Highest-Selling Single honour for her hit track 'Royals'.

Lorde also won the International Achievement Award and Single of the Year prize.

The New Zealander said on stage: "It's crazy to think that it's a year since I was right there, stressed out."

She added on Twitter: "Thankyou, new zealand. Such a special night for [my producer Joel Little] and i. Pure heroine loves you too."
