Lorde reflects on 'Royals' video anniversary

Lorde has celebrated the two-year anniversary of her 'Royals' video.

The singer coined the clip for her breakthrough track in 2013.

The song ultimately became one of the hottest singles of recent times.

Speaking on Twitter today (May 12), the New Zealand star said:

"Omg just saw that today is the 2 year anniversary of the royals music video!

"i still remember sitting on our scummy la-z-boy with my finger hovering over the computer mouse, a second before making that link go live. thank you for all that you've given me. always.

"And to @joelkefali, who directed, and my buds callum, abraham, hadley and robert for starring in this forever film version of our lives [sic]."

'Royals' meanwhile features on Lorde's 2013 major label debut album 'Pure Heroine'.
