'Team' songstress Lorde recently split from her long-time manager, Scott Maclachlan, and she has now posted a series of tweets that might reveal the reason behind her big decision. 

She took to her official Twitter page last night (May 19) and wrote:

"hey, men - do me and yourselves a favour and don't underestimate my skill. Yes, I'm a young lass, but I'm also making the best decisions for me each day. #stayeducated."

The superstar, meanwhile, is currently working on her sophomore album and told fans in a blog post that progress is being made:

"First records are like meeting someone and feeling that need to do everything, just in case for whatever reason, you run out of time, or they stop feeling the same way as you do. I feel much calmer, more comfortable in my love of doing this, and its apparent love of me, this time around. So there's that."
