Lorde unveils 'Team' video

Lorde has debuted the video for her track 'Team'.

The song is the latest effort to be taken from her debut album 'Pure Heroine', following on from the likes of the smash hit 'Royals'.

The promo clip for 'Team' sees the 17-year-old New Zealand starlet act as a seeming leader of a cult gang or society.

There is an initiation process shown as two men have a joust whilst on two motorbikes.

Speaking about the clip's theme on her Facebook page, Lorde said: "This video was born from a dream I had a few months ago about teenagers in their own world, a world with hierarchies and initiations, where the boy who was second in command had acne on his face, and so did the girl who was queen."

She added: "I dreamt about this world being so different to anything anyone had ever seen, a dark world full of tropical plants and ruins and sweat. And of this world, I dreamt about tests that didn't need to be passed in order to be allowed in: sometimes the person who loses is stronger."

'Pure Heroine' meanwhile was released in the UK in October and it reached No.4 on the albums chart.
