Louis Tomlinson donates $10,000 to help sick nine-year-old girl
Kind-hearted Louis Tomlinson has donated $10,000 today (January 15) to help a poorly nine-year-old girl who suffers from cerebral palsy.
Rylee Sanford from Georgia, USA, has bilateral close-lipped schizencephaly, which causes cerebral palsy and she cannot cope on her own. A youcaring.com webpage was set up by family members, Lisa and Makayley Sanford, and says:
"When she was born the drs told us she would never smile or do anything. We were devasted but she has been proving those drs wrong.... [sic].
"In her medical stroller she has no way of freedom As she has to rely on us. To help her reach her full ability, we need house modifications to make our home accessible and funding for certain medical needs. The home modifications we need are a walk-in shower, widened doorways and a ramp added to our porch.
"Our next goal would be stem cell treatments as there have been alot of great results.
"A little bit about Rylee is she loves music and animals. She can also be quite sassy but we love it. She loves Zayn, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Jojo Siwa, Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan and Sam hunt [sic]."
So far $12,201 of a $15,000 goal has been raised by 72 donors. Louis Tomlinson's generous donation has been the largest so far.
This is just one of the recent charitable acts the former One Direction star has done. The father-of-one regularly plays football matches for kids charities such as the Bluebell Wood Children Hospice and has worked with the Believe in Magic kids charity.
Last Christmas the Bluebell Wood Children Hospice was contacted by his team who asked if any of the families needed any presents, and they were directed to an Amazon wish-list page. The hospice was so surprised to find that Tomlinson bought every single item on the wish list for them.
Tomlinson sadly lost his own mother Johannah Deakin to leukaemia just before Christmas 2016. She was only 43 years old.
