Queens, New York recording artist Rich McMichael is currently celebrating his new deal with music distributors Forbes Music Entertainment. The two have an undisclosed agreement that so far has included the marketing and promotion of Rich McMichael's debut single “No Chill.” A global ad campaign has since been launched, which also covers over 286 U.S. markets. In the mean time McMichael continues to work on his first studio album.

Forbes Music Entertainment head a&r Christina Lynn Forbes was quoted as saying “talent wise I rank him up there with Chris Brown and August Alsina.” Marketability being so much of key to the performance industry, comparisons seem to come natural in the beginning stages. McMichael would also compare his style to that of r&b sensations Bryson Tiller and Frank Ocean.

Not long ago McMichael was one of three unknowns that performed at the inaugural concert for Barak Obama. Today he is a brave young entrepreneur striving for a taste of success as an independent label owner. He hopes to some day take other artists under his wing and give them the opportunity to do as he is set to do; and that is to conquer the music industry without the backing of a major.
