Marina and the Diamonds' 'Electra Heart' is the UK's No.1 album

Marina and the Diamonds' new album 'Electra Heart' has been named the UK's official No.1 this evening (May 6).

The fantastic new record was up against some tough competition, but managed to beat Norah Jones' new offering 'Little Broken Hearts' (No.4), Lana Del Rey's 'Born To Die' (No.2) and Adele's smash hit album '21' (No.5) to the top spot.

Writing on her official Twitter page this evening, Marina Diamandis thanked her fans for the support despite being forced to postpone her imminent headlining tour due to a vocal industry:

"Thank you so much. Electra Heart is No.1 in the UK. It means the world to me. M x"

Marilyn Manson's highly anticipated 'Born Villian' has entered tonight at No.14, Drake's new cut 'Take Care' has debuted at 37 and Mystery Jets have made an appearance at No.40 with 'Radlands'.
