Maroon 5 have debuted their new single.

The band are releasing the track 'Maps' on August 24 as the lead single from their upcoming record 'V'.

The US stars have now unveiled the track online and the tune has been well received by fans.

'Maps' was written by singer Adam Levine, OneRepublic hitmaker Ryan Tedder, Benjamin Levin, Ammar Malik and Noel Zancanella.

Maroon 5 meanwhile are due to release 'V' on September 1 in the UK.

The collection will be the group's fifth album to date, with the band's last coming in the shape of 2012's 'Overexposed'.
