Maroon 5 admit they might take a break

Maroon 5 have suggested that they might go on a prolonged break.

The US group released their new album 'V' recently and they have touring commitments until June next year.

However, the band told the Official Charts Company that they are feeling the need to escape the album/tour cycle in the near future.

When asked how many potential records Maroon 5 have left in their locker, singer Adam Levine replied:

"Five albums in, I think it’s important to take stock for a while. To have the success we’ve had, we’re the luckiest motherf**kers on the planet!

“We’re flirting with the idea of taking a small amount of time off. We’ve always been thinking about the next album and tour for ten years. We’re not going anywhere and we’re not going to disband, but after this album we’ll have a conversation and think about what the next move is.”
