Maroon 5 tease upcoming new release: 'Something's in the incubator'

Singer and 'The Voice' coach Adam Levine has revealed that Maroon 5 might surprise fans with new music in the very near future

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight about his plans for the band, Levine explained that while they don't have time to work on a full-length record right now they are preparing something for release:

"Not an album right now, but maybe a song. Gotta keep the kids interested. We have something going on right now. Soon, it's coming... It's on the way. It's in the incubator."

Levine also opened up about writing authentic songs and added that it's worthy of respect to create something genuine:

"I really respect actually seeing people living through their art, (it's) a really inspiring thing. It's real art because you're like, 'OK, this is exactly what this person's going through, this is exactly what this person is feeling.' I'm more afraid to do that now, which I don't think is a bad thing, because you can still be artistic that way. But it's definitely enviable and really cool."
