Lodato wins DJ Times remix of the year award
Lodato is an artist who, until a year or two ago, was unknown. The speed at which he has found the limelight is stunning, and his incredible ability as a producer has now been recognised by the industry. The DJ Times have announced Lodato as the winner of their ‘Best Remix of the Year Production’ for his remix of Twenty One Pilots ‘Heathens’. After an astounding six months, which has seen multiple charting hits such as the original production ‘Older’ and an official remix for Clean Bandit, he shows no sign of abating.
Real name Salvatore, Lodato grew up in New York alongside his long-time collaborator Joseph Duveen who also features on his hits ‘Breathe Again’ and ‘Older’. A producer from a young age, he has honed his talent and with his last few releases has shown just how talented he is. With his tracks being picked up by industry heavyweights such as Overdrive, Interscope and Atlantic Records, he is quickly becoming presented to the world as a production powerhouse with a huge future.
The award is indicative of how respected Lodato has already become, and is sure to be the first of many in the future. The revered DJ Times awards are notorious for giving out awards to only those most deserving and it means a lot to Lodato having won. Other winners at the Miami awards show last month included The Chainsmokers and Marshmello. The show was hosted by many artists including Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren and Steve Aoki.
Adding the Pioneer CDJ inspired award to his trophy cabinet will fill Lodato with pride, but his previous successes with his singles, including reaching #1 on the Billboard Charts with ‘Older’, mean he will inevitably be striving for even bigger wins in the future.
