McBusted on second album: 'We might reach out to Zayn Malik in September'

'Get Over It' hitmakers McBusted have revealed that when they start work on their sophomore record they might be tempted to call up former 1D sensation Zayn Malik.

Matt Willis told Digital Spy that while they've not made significant plans for a second album, they will think about it at the end of summer and he and the lads joked that they might call up the ex-One Direction star to see if he's interested in joining their supergroup:

"I feel like we've only just stopped the process of the first one... When it gets to like September we'll probably sit down and go, 'Right, what's next'..." Heartthrob Harry Judd added: "We'll probably sit down in September and go, 'Get Zayn on board!'"

When asked what they would re-brand McBusted as with the addition of Malik, they laughed: "Zayn from One Direction's New Band and Friends."

McBusted, meanwhile, have recently been supporting One Direction on tour and they revealed that there aren't many opportunities to hang out with the boyband, but they make the best of it.

Willis told Yahoo! OMG Celebrity that while they don't spend a lot of time hanging out with the lads on the road, Irish heartthrob Niall Horan makes an effort to check in and chat with them: "We don't see the boys [One Direction], every now and then we kind of bump into them, Niall Horan comes and hangs out in the dressing room occasionally.
