Russell Crowe says Tom Fletcher wedding speech gave him "deep pleasure"

McFly mainman Tom Fletcher has won a new fan in the shape of Hollywood actor Russell Crowe.

The Noah A-lister told Magic FM that he recently came across the singer's musical time-lapse video of his wife's baby bump.

This led Crowe onto a video of Fletcher's 2012 wedding speech, in which he used various McFly songs to create a loving ode to his wife, family and friends.

During an interview with Magic FM, the actor said that the videos gave him "deep pleasure" and showed a Fletcher to be "incredibly special". Crowe said:

"I watched the wedding speech and this is what came to my mind. I've just met one of the richest men in the world. This man has such a rich internal life. It gave me deep pleasure to watch those things. I never would have heard of this guy, even though he's like obviously wildly famous, but I hadn't come across him.

"But now, I think he's incredibly special and I'll be very interested in whatever else he's going to do. And I didn't get that through television, or video shows or radio - it doesn't touch on that kind of experience."

Fletcher himself responded on Twitter by saying: "SO AWESOME! Thanks for saying such nice things @russellcrowe, glad you like my videos."
