Harry Judd says his McFly bandmate Dougie Poynter and Ellie Goulding are "very happy" together.

The duo confirmed earlier this year that they are dating after months of rumours.

Speaking to OK! magazine, drummer Judd said that he understands why the pair took their time over announcing their relationship.

"It's each to their own. I think in the early stages, you don't want to introduce people. You want it to play out normally. I think when they really liked each other and were boyfriend and girlfriend, when they happy and comfortable, then it was OK to tell everyone.

"They're great, they're very happy together."

Judd meanwhile added that McBusted headlining London's Hyde Park over the Backstreet Boys in July was the "most surreal thing so far".
