McFly's Dougie Poynter reveals brain tumour fears

McFly star Dougie Poynter has revealed he has been suffering from crippling migraines and that a friend told him it could be a brain tumour.

The bassist told The Sun that his head has been pounding recently, with the musician checking into a doctor's after someone scared him into thinking it was a brain tumour.

However, the doctor allayed his fears by confirming it would not be a tumour. Poynter said:

"One guy said it was a tumour but the doctor told me you don't get headaches from tumours. I think it's because I've got a really small head and my brain is getting bigger because I'm just far too intelligent."

He continued: "I've been suppressing it with Nurofen. I woke up the other morning, took some tablets and then threw them up 10 minutes later. Then I started to panic: 'Oh f***, it's a tumour'."
