Harry Judd reveals he has developed a heart condition

McFly star Harry Judd has revealed that he has acquired a minor heart problem because he has been training too hard for the London Marathon.

The drummer is due to take part in the race on April 21 and he has raised almost £12,500 for charity so far.

However, he revealed on Twitter today (April 2) that he is going to have to tone down his exercise after developing an irregular heart beat.

The condition doesn't generally need treatment and is often seen in sportspeople. Judd said:

"So I've acquired an ectopic heart beat through excessive exercise. It's known as a Wandering Pacemaker commonly seen in athletes....it's really annoying!!! It proves I've even pushing as hard as possible for the marathon + if u've been thinking of sponsoring me then surely that will [persuade] u?"

He concluded: "It's nothing to worry about but just means I have to chill out a bit :-/. Athletes get it though... :-)"

As part of his fundraising campaign, Judd is also hoping to try the 'Tough Mudder' - a 13-mile assault course.
