One Direction record McFly-written song for new album

McFly are no strangers to writing songs for other artists and they have now revealed that a track they penned for One Direction has actually been recorded by the lads and could feature on their next full-length offering.

Singer Danny Jones (pictured left) opened up about the unnamed song to Digital Spy at the 'Rock Your Jeans' party for Jeans for Genes event and confessed that it has been laid down by the heartthrobs for their new album:

"We obviously love the boys. They're amazing guys. We've got a new track on their album. One Direction are so similar to us, but they're on a global scale. We had a little smidgen of what they had and we're happy. I'm glad that they came to us because we can give them good music."

Jones continued by praising the popular UK boyband's success and collective talent: "They've had such good songs and we're privileged to be a part of that. For us it's not about making money and being there for a moment, for us it's about the musical satisfaction and we can give that to One Direction."

McFly's Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Jones previously wrote 'I Would' for One Direction's latest album, 2012's 'Take Me Home'.
