McFly and Busted supergroup to tour UK next year

McFly and Busted will tour together as a supergroup next year.

The two boybands as expected confirmed this morning (November 11) at a press conference in London that they will team up together for a new project entitled McBusted.

They will tour the UK in April and May - but the Busted side of the group will be missing Charlie Simpson, who originally left the band to form Fightstar.

McBusted will play a total of eleven arena dates, starting off in Glasgow on April 18 before finishing up in Manchester on May 9.

Tweeting today about the news from their new account, McBusted said:

"Huge announcement... McFly & Busted are coming together for a tour in April 2014. Follow @mcbusted for more news! #McBusted."

The two groups meanwhile played three songs together - Busted's 'Year 3000' and 'Air Hostess', as well as 'Shine A Light' - earlier this year live to celebrate McFly's tenth anniversary.

Tickets for next year's McBusted dates will go on sale from Friday (November 15). The full schedule is as follows:
