McFly ask One Direction for advice

McFly have admitted that they have asked One Direction for advice.

The 'Kiss You' lads are relative newbies compared to Tom Fletcher and co., who have been on the scene for years.

McFly have even helped write some of One Direction's songs, but it seems the elders often look up to the young stars.

Dougie Poynter told New! magazine: "[One Direction are] all very natural and they're very genuine. I think that's why they've exploded."

Danny Jones added: "We asked them for advice! 'How do you do it? How do you look so good?'."

McFly recently teamed up with Busted's Matt Willis and James Bourne to form the pop-rock supergroup McBusted.

They will play a slew of UK arena shows in 2014, including gigs at London's O2 Arena.

McBusted meanwhile performed on Children In Need on Friday (November 15) as they played a medley of hits.
