On World AIDS Day (December 1), Elton John and David Furnish will host a special black tie dinner and party at Tate Modern to raise funds for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.

The evening will begin with a private view of Elton John’s landmark exhibition of Modernist photography, ‘The Radical Eye’ followed by an intimate dinner in the Tanks  - the area of the building that originally housed the oil tanks for Bankside Power Station. The evening will continue until 2am with Craig David taking to the decks at the after party (also in the Tanks.) 

‘The Radical Eye: Modernist Photography from the Sir Elton John Collection’ is the first ever exhibition of photography at Tate Modern and includes rare vintage prints from more than sixty artists including seminal figures such as Man Ray, André Kertész, Berenice Abbott, Aleksandr Rodchenko and Edward Steichen. The exhibition has received rave reviews including 5 stars from The Times, Daily Telegraph and The Guardian.

All money raised from the evening will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation. The Foundation funds frontline programmes that help to alleviate the pain - whether physical, emotional or financial - of those living with, affected by or at risk of HIV/AIDS, and to continue the fight against the worldwide pandemic.
