THE SHOW COMES AHEAD OF THE BAND'S HIGHLY ANTICIPATED HEADLINE SET AT READING & LEEDS THIS AUGUST

Muse have announced an intimate live show at The O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Saturday August 19 in aid of The Passage, London’s largest voluntary sector resource centre for homeless and vulnerable people.

Billed as a ‘By Request’ show, ticket holders can choose up to ten of their favourite Muse tracks and all votes submitted will be collated and used to curate the set on the night.

Matt Bellamy said:

“We have admired The Passage’s work for a while now. Their work is vital to the community in London. We are looking forward to doing our bit to help the amazing staff and volunteers and the homeless people who benefit from their tireless hard work.”

This August will see Muse headline Reading & Leeds for the third time in their career; the last time they topped the bill was in 2011.

Tickets for the intimate show at The O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire will go on sale at 9am on Friday 6th July, with all profits going to The Passage. - http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/1F0052E3CD9FD64D

The Passage’s mission is to provide resources which encourage, inspire and challenge homeless people to transform their lives. It offers a wide range of services to meet the varying and complex needs of homeless and vulnerable people. The Passage’s aim is to help them address the issues that have contributed to them being—or are keeping them—homeless, and to enable them to move on to live safe, happy and fulfilling lives.

Mick Clarke, CEO of The Passage said:

"The Passage is really grateful that Muse are doing a doing a concert to raise money for, and awareness of, the vital work we do to end homelessness for those who come to our doors. It is frighteningly easy to end up on the street and this concert helps ensure that The Passage will be there for those who have nowhere else to turn to."

The Passage’s mission is to provide resources which encourage, inspire and challenge homeless people to transform their lives. It offers a wide range of services, to meet the varying and complex needs of homeless and vulnerable people, accompanying them on the journey to a more settled way of life.

Our work starts with outreach helping people from the street at night.

The Resource Centre initially provides a warm welcome, food and drink, showers and clean clothes leading to assessment, support finding employment, comprehensive advice, welfare and medical support facilities for homeless people.

Our hostels help the most vulnerable rough sleepers.

Our Home for Good project provides a volunteer based support service to former homeless people following resettlement.

It costs more than £4.5 million a year to run The Passage, but less than 30% of that is funded from statutory sources. We depend on fundraising to provide our services.
