Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds goes double Platinum

NOEL GALLAGHER’S HIGH FLYING BIRDS EPONYMOUS DEBUT ALBUM HAS ACHIEVED DOUBLE PLATINUM SALES (OVER 600,000 COPIES) IN LESS THAN SIX MONTHS SINCE ITS RELEASE 

NOEL GALLAGHER WILL RECEIVE THE GODLIKE GENIUS AWARD AT TONIGHT’S NME AWARDS

Noel Gallagher will pick up the prestigious Godlike Genius Award at tonight’s NME Awards where he will also be closing the ceremony with a live set including songs from the current album and classic tracks. 

This evening’s award coincides with Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds BRIT nominated album achieving double platinum status – sales in excess of 600 000 - since its release less than six months ago.  

The new single “Dream On” will be released on March 12th.  The special b side of the single will be “Shoot A Hole Into The Sun” – the first track to be released from the work Noel has recorded with the Amorphous Androgynous.
