Meghan Trainor writes song for 'Peanuts' movie: 'It's about letting go of insecurities'

Songstress Meghan Trainor has opened up about contributing a song to the official soundtrack of the upcoming 'Peanuts' movie and revealed that it's "all about letting go of your insecurities and embracing your true self on the dance floor".

During a recent interview with People magazine, the 'All About That Bass' beauty admitted that the track she penned for the film is about confidence: "They wanted a song about confidence and knew I was good at writing those. I feel better when I’m onstage dancing and having fun, so I wrote about that!

"My grandma always had it on; she always had a lot of cartoons on. I was super-duper young, but I do remember when the show was on – it was huge!” Referring to her love of the character Charlie Brown in particular, Trainor added: "I felt so bad for him in some parts. I’m probably the person that would go make sure he’s all right. We would be best friends.”

She also shared a cartoon image of herself this evening on Twitter (pictured below) and accompanied it with the following caption: "So excited to be on the @PeanutsMovie soundtrack! @Snoopy even imagined a #Peanutized me!"
