Michael Bublé raises £125,000 for charity through ticket sales

Michael Bublé has generated £125,000 ($196,000) for charity after donating £1 ($1.56) from each of his UK ticket sales.

The singer has performed a number of arena dates this year in the country and he teamed up with music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins for a special project.

£1 from each ticket sale was donated to the cause and a total of £125,000 was raised.

Bublé told The Sun: "I came up with this a year ago after I played the O2 arena. My manager wanted to book the tour for 2014 and I said I'd only do it if we give back too.

"The UK has been so great to me and I thought it was time to put my money where my mouth was. I'm lucky I can help a lot of beautiful young people."

A rep for the charity added that the donation will make a "huge difference".
