Mumford & Sons score midweek No.1 album with 'Wilder Mind'

Folk-rockers Mumford & Sons are set to score a No.1 this coming weekend with their third studio album 'Wilder Mind'

The band have shot straight into the top spot this afternoon (May 6) and their record has knocked Blur's 'The Magic Whip' down one place to No.2.

Sia’s '1000 Forms Of Fear' has jumped ten places to No.3, Sam Smith’s 'In The Lonely Hour' has bounced back into the Top 5 at No.4, and singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran’s 'X' is at 5. Olly Murs' latest offering, 'Never Been Better', has climbed 25 places to sit at No.6.

Elsewhere on the UK Top 40 midweek update, former 'X Factor' contestant Lucy Spraggan lands at 17 with her third album 'We Are', and My Morning Jacket could earn their first UK Top 40 album this week with 'The Waterfall', which is currently at 29.
