Nadine Coyle announces studio return

Nadine Coyle has confirmed she's back in the studio after Girls Aloud's recent split announcement.

The Irish songstress took to Twitter today to let her fans know she is working on solo material since parting ways with Cheryl Cole, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding after the end of their 'Ten' tour.

Coyle wrote to her followers: "Back in the studio. If you could hear what i hear!!!! Xxx this is for all of you. Xciting! Xxx (sic)."

After Girls Aloud revealed they were going their separate ways after the end of their tour last month, Coyle caused a stir after writing on the social networking site: "You should know by now I had no part in any of this split business. I couldn't stop them. I had the best time & want to keep going. Xxxx (sic)."

Bandmate Harding spoke out on Coyle's tweet, telling British magazine Look: "I was unaware she even felt like that. At no point did she try and stop us, so you’d have to ask her why she did that. I have to respect her decision."

The best singer in Girls Aloud is Nadine says Louis Walsh

X Factor judge, Louis Walsh, has admitted that he believes Nadine Coyle is the best singer in the group.

Speaking to The Guardian this weekend, their former manager said: 'There was a girl in Ireland called Nadine Coyle, and I said, go for this show. She is an amazing vocalist. A real, real singer. So I pushed her in the band, and I said Nadine is the lead singer."

'From then on, there were problems. "I never worked with them very well 'cos they kind of scared me, the five girls together. Five girls! Five girls is a bit scary.

"They were all a bit scary. Generally, girls don't like each other. That's the problem. I couldn't help them with their hair, makeup, all those things. And from the moment I said Nadine was the best singer, the others alienated me.

"Well, she is the best singer! By a mile. But she didn't marry a footballer. If she'd married a footballer she'd have been a big star."

When Cheryl Cole joined the X Factor panel of judges, the tension continued. Walsh said:

"Cheryl knows how to work it. Cheryl is all about Cheryl."
