Nathan Sykes announces debut solo single

Heartthrob Nathan Sykes, formerly of The Wanted fame, has announced details of his highly anticipated debut solo single 'Kiss Me Quick'.

The star used the new streaming app Periscope to make the surprise announcement last night and shared a teaser of the track with his 1.6 million Twitter followers, before taking to the stage at Glasgow’s ABC2 to kick-off his sold-out run of intimate UK shows.

'Kiss Me Quick' is due to be released on June 14 in the UK and several mdia outlets have already praised the cut, with MTV describing it as having "incredible vocals and silky smooth tones". The Rolling Stone said that the track "showcases singer’s sultrier R&B sound".

Sykes, meanwhile, will now continue with his tour and the next date is set to take place tonight (April 9) in Newcastle at the O2 Academy. He will conclude the jaunt with a performance at Bush Hall in London on April 15. Other cities he will visit on the run include Brighton, Manchester and Birmingham.
