Nathan Sykes on Zayn Malik: 'I think he knows what he's doing'

'Kiss Me Quick' hitmaker Nathan Sykes has revealed that he has every confidence that former One Direction Zayn Malik will land on his feet now that he is no longer a member of the boyband.

Speaking to press at this week's Glamour awards in London, the heartthrob explained that while he has no advice for the singer he does believe he has the talent to enjoy a great run outside of the group that made him famous:

"I don't think I'm one to offer Zayn advice. I think he knows what he's doing, he's really talented. All the 1D boys are very very successful. I'm not in a place to offer him advice."

Sykes went onto talk about his blossoming solo career and admitted that he's having an amazing time branching out on his own: "I'm really enjoying it. Everyone's being so nice and positive about the single so I'm having a blast, it's great."

Sykes recently told E! News that he would love to write music for either Malik or the 1D lads: "I'd love to maybe write for them, that'd be great. Obviously they're all great writers as well. Maybe not vocally as a collaboration, but a writing collaboration might not be too far away."
