Nathan Sykes announces first U.S. solo headlining concert

Solo singer Nathan Sykes, formerly of The Wanted fame, will be performing his first ever U.S. show as a solo artist on July 22 at the Gramercy Theatre in New York City.

The concert comes fresh off the heels of the release of his debut single, 'Kiss Me Quick', which has already been named one of Billboard’s 'Tomorrow's Hits'. The heartthrob will be joined on stage by his incredible 8 piece live band, featuring brass, bass, guitar, drums and keys

Tickets for the gig are due to go on sale at 10am local time on Friday, June 19 at both Ticketmaster.com and GramercyTheatre.com.

Speaking to Teen Vogue recently, Sykes admitted that when The Wanted split he knew he had to continue pursuing a music career because he wasn't ready to put it to bed: "It took a minute to get used to the thought of not being a band anymore, and when we finished the tour and announced we were taking a break, I got home and was thinking, 'OK, this is weird.' But then I realised I was too young to stop doing what I love and what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I wasn't going to crawl into a hole somewhere."
