Nathan Sykes: 'For the first time people are getting to hear 100% of me'

Singer Nathan Sykes has been enjoying great success since branching out as a solo artist and he revealed to Schön! magazine that being able to put 100% of himself into this music rather than the 20% he was used to giving as a member of The Wanted has been amazing.

The 'Kiss Me Quick' star explained that being able to find his own sound has been an incredible process because his previous role as a singer in The Wanted meant that he was only able to contribute:

“It’s been a really fun crazy process finding my own sound, because obviously when you’re in a band, all five of us put our input in and we end up with a combined sound. I’m actually 20% of the sound. I think for the first time people are getting to hear 100% of me.”

“I didn’t know what I’d end up writing or having my music sound like me and so it was quite a process... I obviously love soul music and I love jazz as well but essentially I’m a massive pop fan. If I suddenly just packed up and left pop music, I would be doing myself a complete disservice."
