Nathan Sykes: 'Once The Wanted ended, this person just dropped me'

'Kiss Me Quick' sensation Nathan Sykes has opened up about going solo and revealed that one person in particular behaved unexpectedly towards him once The Wanted disbanded, but he was able to shrug off the bad feelings and he joked, "it's alright, they'll call me when I'm famous".

Speaking to Fuse, the heartthrob confessed that he learned just how flaky the music industry can be and has now personally cut ties with those who dropped him:

"When we finished with The Wanted, there was this moment in my life where all the press and all that sort of stuff just, like, stopped. And then a certain someone—not gonna name names—just stopped talking to me."

"It's really cool to know that you can almost go through a complete reintroduction to yourself. People who weren't necessarily fans of the band can go, 'oh, I like what you're doing'. The music is very different to what I was doing with The Wanted [...] It's cool to see people being like, 'ok, this is interesting. Wait... the little one from that band can do that?!'"
