'Kiss Me Quick' sensation Nathan Sykes has been named Celebrity Ambassador for The Prince’s Trust. 

The heartthrob, who found fame as one fifth of The Wanted and has since launched an impressive solo career, is looking forward to this new role as he is very passionate about the presence of music in education. 

Speaking about this honour in a video statement, the singer explained that he is excited to be involved: "Hello, I'm very proud and honoured to have been asked to be an official ambassador for the Prince's Trust. There are exciting plans to follow, so watch this space!"

Earlier this month, the star told People magazine that when he first received a substantial paycheck, he spent it on his family: "I bought my family a house! It was something I always wanted to do because they've always been so supportive."
