Nathan Sykes enjoys creative control that comes with going solo

‘Over And Over Again’ hitmaker Nathan Sykes has revealed that going solo was a great decision and he’s enjoying the freedom that comes with it.

Speaking to the Daily Record, the heartthrob admitted that the biggest plus point of being a solo artist is not having to run his ideas through a group of people because he can now have complete creative control:

“I don’t have to go through so many people. They just say ‘Nathan would you like to do this?’ and the decisions are made quicker. Even with band videos, some of us had ideas and would look at treatments over and over again whereas I wrote the video treatment on the same day I wrote my song.”

Sykes recently told the BBC that he's excited for fans to finally hear his solo album: "The album's out next year. I can't wait for people to hear it. To be honest, I've probably been sat with the album for about a year now... finishing it up and getting production right, and mixing, takes time. I'm really excited."
