Nathan Sykes on the one song he might struggle with performing live

Singer-songwriter Nathan Sykes is gearing up to release his debut solo album, Unfinished Business, and he has revealed which song from the record he might struggle with on stage.

Talking to Teen Vogue recently, the sensation admitted that there's a track named "I Can't Be Mad", which reduced everyone in the studio to tears when he laid the vocals down, and he thinks that might be challenging to perform on tour as it came from such a "vulnerable" place:

"“I Can’t Be Mad” is a tough song; that is going to be really hard to sing. I wrote that when I was in a really, tough phase. And obviously, every time I hear it, I kind of go back to where I was when I wrote it. You can hear the vulnerability in the vocals. And that wasn't, me trying to be vulnerable. It's just where I was at that time."

"The day I wrote it in the studio, everyone was crying. It was a very, very sad day. Even the people that I co-wrote it with, it took them back to a place where they've been in a really, dark time. It's just going to be me and the piano, as well, [rather than an eight-piece band]. Because I can't really hear it being performed any other way."
