Nelly reveals that he is a fan of Ed Sheeran: 'He's a friend in training'

'Hot In Herre' hitmaker Nelly has revealed that he's starting to get to know singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and hopes they can become friends in the future.

Speaking to Britain's Metro newspaper, the star confessed that he wouldn't roll with Taylor Swift because she's too tame for his liking despite the fact that they performed together earlier this year: "Taylor Swift is not wild, buddy. She's nowhere on the wild side for Nelly. Nelly is a wild boy, you know what I'm saying?"

He went onto add that he's hoping to work with Ed Sheeran in the future because he likes his music and would consider him to be a "friend in training": "Me and Ed Sheeran know each other. I wouldn't say we're friends yet because I take that word very seriously. We have a mutual respect there and I'm a fan of his work - I would call him a friend in training."

Nelly, meanwhile, is confirmed to perform live in London at KoKo on Monday, December 14. Tickets for the one-off concert are currently on sale for £32.06 each.
