Los Angeles, California, April 7th, 2017 (eReleases) – Digable Planets, the hip-hop trio of Ishmael "Butterfly" Butler, Mary Ann "Ladybug Mecca" Vieira, and Craig "Doodlebug" Irving, will continue their Reunion Tour into 2017. The added dates include stops in Washington, DC, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Denver, CO, San Francisco, CA, Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. The tour, which features the trio with a live band, will begin next month, and will also include a showcase at the House of Vans in Brooklyn on May 18th. Additional announcements regarding upcoming festival dates, a project release, and a run of Russian dates are forthcoming.

Beginning with the historic Howard Theatre in Washington, DC on May 16th and ending with a return visit to Portland Oregon to play the Crystal Ballroom on May 28th, Digable Planets will take to the road for a total of eight dates. Digable Planets originally broke up in 1995, briefly reunited in 2005, and had last performed in 2011 prior to their December show. In 2012, Butler was asked about whether they would perform again, and answered: "I think it's the end." (Back at the end of December, 2012, Digable Planets and Shabazz Palaces had also been scheduled to perform back-to-back shows at the Neptune, but Digable Planets canceled.) Their 1994 LP Blowout Comb was reissued in 2013.
