Los Angeles, CA, April 7th, 2017 (eReleases) - Bilal’s very busy April begins with a stint at the Kentucky State Fair on the Main Stage with Erika Badu and Common. The Philly-born artist will then head to the west coast for a run of nine dates including a return to Portland’s Soul’d Out Music Festival. Bilal most recently appeared at Heard’s 7th Annual Music Tech Mashup (SXSW 2017) as a special guest. Bilal plans to visit the west again this fall on a co-bill with fellow Grammy winner Anna Wise.

Bilal’s west coast run begins in Carson, CA at SOL Music Venue, followed by back-to-back plays at Yoshi’s in Oakland. The jazz artist by trade will then head to Oregon for a show in Eugene at Hi-Fi Music Hall and Lounge. Bilal will play Seattle (Nectar Lounge) on April 19th before Soul’d Out in Portland and cap off the run with dates in Vancouver (Fortune Sound Club), and Victoria (Upstairs Cabaret), British Columbia.

Bilal Sayeed Oliver better known mononymously as Bilal, is a Grammy Award winning, American singer-songwriter, musician and producer. He is currently an independent artist residing in New York City. Bilal is noted for his wide vocal range, his work across multiple genres, and his live performances. He has been well received, both nationally and internationally, with an extensive list of collaborations including Kendrick Lamar, Common, Erykah Badu, Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Guru, Kimbra, J Dilla, Robert Glasper, The Roots, and many more. Bilal’s Grammy win came at the 58th Grammy Awards for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration with Kendrick Lamar for “These Walls” a song that appeared on Kendrick’s “To Pimp A Butterfly” album.
