Nick Jonas is apparently "angry" over the way the Jonas Brothers split.

The group called it a day in 2013 after "creative differences" caused a "deep rift" between the sibling trio.

In June the short interactive Q&A tour Off The Record with Kevin & Joe Jonas was held without Nick.

Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel this week, Nick Jonas' Kingdom co-star Frank Grillo said that he believes the musician is upset by how things have panned out.

He said: "He is angry about the whole Jonas [Brothers] thing. I don't know if I'm supposed to say this...He's not crazy about the other brothers."

Grillo meanwhile added that he was initially unsure about Jonas playing the role of a martial arts man in Kingdom:

"I was against it...I said, 'No, never gonna happen...' I had done a movie called Warrior which is like the martial arts movie and I said, 'I have a lot at stake here...He's not doing it, forget it. Don't even send him in'.

"They sent him in...30 guys come in and he was one of the last guys [to audition] and I sat there and I read with him and I looked at the producers and I said, 'He's the guy...' He was that much better than everyone else."
