Nick Jonas on leaving Jonas Brothers behind: 'I knew this transition would take some time'

Singer and actor Nick Jonas has opened up about launching a solo career and confessed that it will take 'some time' for him to become an established artist on his own merits as he was part of a successful group for so many years.

During an interview with Billboard for a special podcast episode, the 'Jealous' heartthrob explained that it has been hard to go from being a member of the Jonas Brothers to carving out a career completely separate from that and starting over:

"It has been a huge transition. It's almost been exactly a year since the brothers decided to close that chapter, and it's one of those things where I feel like I had a vision of where I wanted to see [my career] go and knew that it would take some time. I didn't really expect for the tide to turn as quickly as it has, and for us to be in this new chapter. Just loving the ride, and really enjoying every moment. I'm thrilled to get this record out."
