Nick Jonas: 'I'm honest with myself about sex and sexuality'

'Jealous' heartthrob Nick Jonas has opened up about his decision to remove the purity ring he was known for during his time in the Jonas Brothers and confessed that it felt right to take it off.

Speaking to the New York Post's Alexa magazine, the star explained that he started to see sex as a healthy part of life and wanted to be fulfilled in all areas:

"As far as the sexuality goes, I think that just happened for me over time. Sex is part of a healthy life. So I have tried to be, in my transition into adulthood, as honest with myself as possible with sex and sexuality and what it means to me, so I can try to be as healthful as I can."

When asked if he ever has sex to his own music, the star laughed and admitted that would be strange: "No, absolutely not, you can't do that! That'd be so uncomfortable."

Earlier this week, meanwhile, Jonas admitted that he has been attracting cougars: "I was at a basketball game the other day and a few older ladies came up to me and said, 'I love the new song!' And then they go, 'And we love the shoot, as well!' That was an added compliment."
