Nick Jonas: 'It's all about how you balance it'

Nick Jonas can relate to Zayn Malik's wish to leave One Direction.

The singer called time on the band earlier this year to focus on regaining a more normal life.

Jonas saw his previous group the Jonas Brothers split in 2013 and he told Entertainment Tonight that he understands Malik's motives.

He said: "I feel for the [One Direction] fans, and totally understand fame as well and what he's going through, all the best to all of them.

'It's a lot of pressure. I think that my situation was really unique, I had family with me. I feel like it is a tough world already, and I was thankful to have family and walk through it with them, but it's all about how you balance it, and trying to implement a few moments of normalcy and quietness in a really crazy ride."

One Direction will continue as a four-piece and a new album is in the pipeline.
