Nick Jonas has performed a cover of OMI's hit track 'Cheerleader'.

The singer ran through the chart-topping song in the Dominican Republic on Sunday (August 9).

The US star was launching his Live In Concert tour.

Jonas meanwhile recently took to Twitter to give his backing to Miley Cyrus as she prepares to host the MTV VMAs.

He said: "The more I think about the VMAs the more I think about how much @MileyCyrus is gonna kill it as the host. #greatchoicemtv."

The event is taking place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on August 30.
