Nick Jonas felt 'washed up' at 21-years-old: 'It was horrible'

Singer Nick Jonas has revealed that he felt directionless and lost when he turned 21.

During an interview for the webseries Live Nation TV, the 'Chains' hitmaker explained that he struggled with feelings of confusion when he hit the age of 21 and just accepted that it's part of life to wonder what you're going to do next:

"Before Kingdom, at 21, it wasn't a good spot, to feel sort of washed up. It's a horrible feeling. But it's a question probably a lot of 22 year olds coming out of college ask themselves: What am I doing next? Everyone has a reason they fight."

Jonas, meanwhile, recently told Entertainment Weekly that he's excited about his solo career because he is "digging deep" to write material for it: "Levels is a good introduction to the next step. I think [the album will] go even a bit further with some more soul and R&B sounds, even hip hop influences in there. I'm really just digging deep."
